Changing Council policy, one mattress at a time!
I did a routine bit of casework yesterday, in response to a letter from an elderly lady in Perry Vale, Ethel. She needed a mattress collected by the bulky refuse team; but it was upstairs, and they're only supposed to collect things from outside people's homes. How would LPV members feel about a directory service, or even paid advertising, for businesses selling locally?I'm prompted to ask because local web forums as an advertising channel was discussed at a meeting of traders in Forest Hill town centre, organised this week by the Forest Hill Society.
